Dartmoor National Park is a fabulous place. Whether it is the flora, fauna, history, archaeology or geology or just wide open spaces, there are many reasons to visit. It can seem a bit daunting off the beaten track however - navigation can be tricky and the terrain and weather must be taken seriously.
I’m Nigel Grist, a qualified and insured member of the Moorland Guides group and I hold the Hill & Moorland Leader award and have Outdoor First Aid training.
I offer bespoke guided walks, photography tuition and map-reading courses for individuals and small groups over any part of the moor. Distance and duration are tailored to the group. We can visit sites of archaeological interest, have a close look at the tors and flora or just enjoy the atmosphere and landscape of a very special place.
All details including location, interests and cost will be discussed and agreed before a booking is confirmed. A detailed suggested equipment list and safety information is sent prior to the walk. See my website for more information.
Please get in touch to discuss a possible walk or course, I should be happy to help you explore Dartmoor.
